China produced 59.03 million t of the crude steel in April

According to the data released by NBS, in January-April this year, China's overall crude steel output amounted to 229.71 million t, increasing by 8.3% compared to the same period of last year. While only in April China's crude steel had reached 59.03 million t, rising by 7.1% year over year. In addition, China's average daily crude steel output had hit a new record of 1.968 million t in April.

Besides, China had produced 54.97 million t of the pig iron in April and the year-to-date pig iron output came to 214.27 million t, both of which had risen by 7.7% and 7.3% respectively year on year. On the other hand, China's steel product output stood at 73.15 million t in April and the year-to-date steel product output came to 280.67 million t, both of which had surged by 8.3% and 12.6% respectively year over year.
